We arrived in Brighton 3 weeks ago, and have had a great time here. It’s such a vibrant and eclectic city. Since the Regency era, it has been known as a seaside resort town to see, be seen and party it up (Pride and Prejudice’s Lydia Bennet, anyone?).

Read MoreWe’ve been living in a lovely little town for the last week in the Canton de Vaud, a French-speaking region of the south of Switzerland surrounding Lake Geneva (also known as Lac Leman). We are quite near the town’s boulangerie where they have simple and amazing sandwiches made from their homemade baguettes, plus many pastries and a really tasty homemade ice cream.

Read MoreIt’s been a whirlwind week and a half! I left New Zealand to join Matt in Coff’s Harbour, Australia, where he had gone ahead of me to see his parents on their holiday. We had a great time with them beach walking, hiking, playing cards and hanging out.

He left on Thursday for Australia to meet up with his parents while I stayed behind to finish out our housesit and pick up our hosts from the airport. I leave to join him tomorrow. And you know what? No one/nothing died! Well…with the exception of some delicious turkeys.
Read MoreWe are still on the alpaca farm here in Hawkes Bay and will be until the end of June. As I mentioned in my last post, there is a lot of free time even with our farm responsibilities, so Matt has been working extra and I’ve been focusing on some cooking projects. I finally made a meal with the wild turkey that Matt shot last week!
